BESTARI JAYA - UNISEL mandarin club launched Chinese New Year celebration at UNISEL Chancellery attended by students and staff of various races and welcomed the presence of minister Waytha Moorthy Ponnusamy.
The main purpose of this event is also to appreciate the value of the festival as it is seen as a unity of all races in Malaysia as it is celebrated with Chinese dance, Indian dance and "Pencak Silat Performance".
According to the president of UNISEL Mandarin Club, Tengku Shazly, this event is to unite the people of our country.
"For students and staff from other countries who have not yet experienced Chinese hospitality, this event is accessible to all races.
"It is also the first Chinese New Year celebration for students and staff of various races and creates inter-racial unity", he said during the interview.
Unity is seen as more and more students and staff wear traditional Chinese clothing and are once again enamored with Indian students wearing Cheongsam.
